Another step closer
The wooden element is now finished. Work has begun on the supporting metal legs. with the immense weight of the oak piece I think the legs will need to be more heavy duty than I first thought.

Giant Tripod Progress
Progress is moving quickly with the wooden element. It has been turned down by Nigel to a rough form and the leg location holes have been drilled, just needs final shaping and sanding.

Giant TriPod
The idea for a giant verson of my Tripod design has started to make headway. I have decided on a scale for the piece and work has begun on preparing the wooden element for the centre. The demensions for the finished wooden element will be approximately 20in (50cm) diameter by 48 inch (122 cm) hieght.

Inlaying silver into a box lid
Inlaying the silver Diamond into to the lid of the bottle box was a fun challenge, I chiseled out the recess for the 2mm thick silver very gradually so to achieve a snug fit. The box lid with the silver mount was then sanded flush and wax polished.

Copper Octopus
