The Spider Brooch was created as a wearable piece that causes a conversation. The materials used give a lifelike appearance, at a short distance it looks very convincing. The piece is made from Brass, Found Wood and is set with pink rubies for eyes. This Brooch was created to commission Brass, Found Wood and Rubies

    I have begun creating a range of wearable insects based upon the larger sculptural pieces. These will be made in a combination of materials much like their larger counterparts. The response to the insect sculptures was immense when they were displayed at New Designers part 1 2013. Lots of new ideas were generated from the conversations that took place at the event, watch this space.
